Not just Ivy is unlikable, her mother and stepdad too! Max was doing it for Tommy and Austin. I could have gone with conclusively clearing Tommy and not finding who killed Ivy, but that isn't how Max operated, and I don't think it was possible to clear Tommy without finding our who killed Ivy.
I agree with Anita. So many times in this story, I was angry with Ivy for the things she did to her classmates. At the same time, I thought that Ivy is exactly who her mother made her to be. Not once did her mother discipline Ivy appropriately, which made Ivy believe her actions were acceptable. The stepfather pissed me off so much. He adds to the reasons that Nick's ex and Britney are ridiculous. These two women have men who want to be a good dad and they work to make them suffer. Bill Wallace is an example of what they could have as an ex.
I cared more about Max clearing Tommy through the entire story.
The more I learned about what Ivy did, the harder it became to feel any sympathy for her having been killed. This child was seriously awful and had no empathy for others. She was definitely a reflection of her mother.
I shifted really early to wanting to find the killer solely to clear Tommy’s name.

I agree with everyone. I wanted Tommy's name cleared. I really didn't care if Max proved to killed Ivy.
