Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments I remember watching a film version of The Importance of Being Earnest many years ago and finding it very funny. Right now I'm making an attempt to read more of the older, classic, books that I've missed in the past.

Reading the reviews online this one seems to be quite popular and many people still find it funny today. Plus it's available for free through Project Gutenberg. :-)

Bana AZ (anabana_a) | 414 comments I read this in high school when it was required and I really enjoyed it. It's so ridiculous at certain points. I love the refined humor of this classic. I hope you'll enjoy it too.

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments I really enjoyed this. I had a fairly good idea of what was going to happen because I'd seen an adaptation years ago.

It was very funny. I'd love to see it actually play out on the stage. I could kind of picture it as I was reading.

Tammy I just downloaded this to my Kindle and added it to my TBR shelf. I'm looking forward to it.

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments Are you planning on reading it for any particular week, Tammy? Or just for fun as a side read?

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) Ooh, a classic that's funny! I've been looking for something like this! Thanks!

Just for a fun read on the side!

Narma | 49 comments Just finished this. Wilde never disappoints!

This was lighthearted and funny, a great break from some of the serious ones i'm reading. The book was very quotable, and below is my favorite quote:

"Algernon is an extremely, I may almost say an ostentatiously, eligible young man. He has nothing, but he looks everything. What more can one desire?”

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments Yeah, I was reading it on my Kindle and kept highlighting loads of quotes. I think it's one I'm going to have to revisit it in the future.
