I thought that the problem with the book just before this one was because she co-wrote with her son, but no, it has remained. Virtually all that was fun about this series is gone and I was very bored much of the time. It has gone from a fun series that involves stings on the side of the law, to a boring one. I couldn't care less about reading yet another book about hunting for long lost Nazi-stolen and hidden gold. It was so predictable and it was the kind of story that can be fun in a movie at times. There was a wee bit of funny stuff at the end, but the best things about this series are gone, gone, gone. There was one surprise that was fun, but a bit weak and the premise to continue the series is not that appealing unless the BRING BACK all some of those wonderful characters that were involved in the stings and have them be part of the stories again plus have Lee Goldberg be part of the writing pair, if he wants to, that is.

This is almost as stupid as the story developers for some TV shows that start off well (here's looking at you, people who ruined the TV show Scorpion.)

Evanovich makes plenty of money with her other books, even though in my opinion the Stephanie Plum books have gone on far longer than that love triangle can handle--I'd have kept reading them if she'd just chosen one for Plum and made it funny without that baloney.
