How to Mars by David Ebenbach rounded up to 4 stars

3.5 stars rounded up--to be frank, I waivered as to which way to round this and the review will say more

This is a book I hadn't heard a thing about, but I saw it while browsing the new book display in the city library where any resident of this state can have a card and the writing and the book description was just large enough to read without my reading glasses (why I'd walk to a library without them is beyond me, but things happen.)

The best part of this book, IMO is near the beginning and it's the humour. The story isn't that great nor are the premises new, but it's quirky and often fun. That said, Stefan was too unlikable for me to love this story, and he is one of the three POVs--I think there was good fodder with him. I enjoyed many of the unofficial manual sections.

Last night I might have said 3 stars, but as I have had time to take a break and reflect the entire reading experience, I rounded up.
