Honestly I think the age difference is not bad and since you are about to turn 16 it is perfect gap. Honestly when I was 12 my teacher said a great gap would be 3 years because when you get older it will seem a lot smaller. So say if the relationship goes farther and you are 18 and he is 20 it is not that bad
Kase, Last piece of advice if you like this boy go get him and if your Dad doesnt agree pls pls try to get him to agree because if you like someone so bad and it doesnt work it will hurt. I know the experience

It's not a large age gap but he is a legal adult. And though the age gap is only about 2 years, to anyone who doesn't know your birthdays will assume a 3 year age difference, which is a lot.
And you're a minor
Even if you're just going to have a purely romantic relationship, I (personally) think maybe wait until your 16 or older? But you should definitely ask your dad.
