They have their own separate series. A series which I found so boring that I couldn't finish it. (Who is this Madeline person, anyway? A latter book, I assume?)

The Brotherband Chronicles are just getting interesting, but not because they are in the same universe as Ranger's Apprentice. The last thing I want to see is Will or Halt or Horace to make an appearance. As it was, Gilan's presence almost seemed superfluous. Check that, it really seemed unnecessary.
