This novel about a young girl and her mother who emigrated to America from Hong Kong was particularly engaging in audio format. Told from the perspective of a very bright 11-year-old, it highlights the struggles of immigrants caught between the cultures and languages of their home countries and their adopted countries.
I’ve just read My Sister, The Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite - my first 5 star read of the year.
I'll be picking up Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. I'm a big fan of American Gods so looking forward to this one.

I am going to read All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr but it will probably have to wait until after I finish the summer genre challenge.
I read A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer for a title that starts with "H" - it wasn't my favorite :(
This is my last prompt for the year and I have been saving this book for this prompt. I just started All the Light We Cannot See.

Every year, we collect submissions for prompt ideas from our fellow 52 Book Club members. In October, we then do a random draw from all of the suggestions and pick three winners to appear on the next year’s challenge. A book title starting with the same letter as your first name was one of this year’s winning prompts!
Question: But what if my name starts with the letters E or F? That was already a prompt on this year’s challenge!
Answer:That’s okay. If you have another great book idea, feel free to complete this twice. Or, get creative! Use a nickname, the second-letter in your name, or even the first letter as your last name instead. You could also read two books from a series that starts with E or F.
