what did everyone think about this book? i know i really liked it, but it definitely wasn’t what i was expecting. i think booktok/everyone was kinda marketing it wrong and making it seem like this fun thriller when it was a lot more serious than that. i thought it was super good though and i hope everyone did too!

I loved this book. I was surprised when I found out what it was about to be honest, I enjoyed it though. I actually haven’t read about being a POC in a PWI and this book spoke about it really well. Also I’m in love with the cover!!

i had no prior knowledge about this book, that being said it really surpassed my expectations. i loved that this book showed racism, classism, homophobia, and other serious topics, being able to see what chiamaka and devon went through at niveus academy was insightful, yet so sad. i wanted to comfort them throughout the whole book. in conclusion, i loved this book and i gave it five stars! <3
