Nick decides to come to New York to help find Max. He and Marco are in sort of a competition for the position of “boyfriend” in this moment. Your thoughts about how both behaved? Was Marco out of line in his presumptive thinking or was he falling into their normal pattern? Was Nick falling back out of deference to Mario or confidence he didn’t need to compete?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I thought Marco was being Marco. Apparently he is used to Max coming and going in his life.

I loved Nick. He acted like he was confident in where he stands with Max. His focus was on Max and what was best for her. He didn't try to stir the pot, so to speak with Marco. Nick doesn't have jurisdiction and Marco could keep things going.

Ditto what you said, Sharon. Marco was being an ass at times, trying to intimidate Nick who refused to take the bait. I also believe this is normal behavior for Nick, how he sits back and evaluates situations before speaking or taking action. He did this with Max in California.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I found the way these two were circling each other was fascinating. Lopez was trying to bait Nick and Nick didn't fall for it. Thankfully the top priority for both of them was finding Max.

Sorry about changing Marco’s name to Mario. The real Mario Lopez got in my head. I’ve corrected.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Nick was a class act all the way. He was calm and confident and it did not matter what Marco said or did, Nick wasn't going to let it get in the way of finding Max.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I thought I threw everyone off with Mario. Mario Lopez is a cutie.

Yes, he is!

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I don't like Marco. He's pushy and cocky. Nick is so chill and smart. Marco was very out of line. The way he spoke to Nick was disrespectful. I think Nick has some doubts about his relationship with Max and Marco did not help those feelings. Sharon is right though. Marco is used to Max coming and going.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Melissa, I agree with you. I was appalled when Marco threw his things on missing Max's bed. He was thicker skinned than he should have been, some of which was his experience with Max, but the rest was his big ego. She had to be returning to him sooner or later, duh.

Nick is a class act, period.

Amen, Charlene!
