The Riverclan camp is right next to Twoleg place, and the soil is usually slightly damp from the river. The camp is surrounded by tall reeds that shelter it. In the central area, the cats lie and share tongues in the sun.

Sageskip pads around camp, stepping carefully to avoid the damper spots. Oh Starclan, why is the ground always so wet here? He thinks angrily.

Splashpaw sprints swiftly along the damp, slightly sludgy soil underneath his paws as he notices Sageskip nearby. The soil condition never seemed to bother him, which was quite clear by the overall way he carries himself. He approaches Sageskip, full of excitement and joy as always. "Hello!! How are you doing!?" He says quickly.

Sageskip nods in greeting to Splashpaw. "I'm doing pretty good," He says. "How about you?"

Splashpaw messes with the soil underneath his paw. "I'm doing great!!" He says enthusiastically, his attention shifting from the soil to walking in small circles as if he was attempting to mime out circling his prey. "Have you caught any cool fish recently?? The river looks amazing today!"

Sageskip shakes his head. "I haven't caught any, but if you want to go hunt for some then I'll take you." He says, looking in the direction of the river. Swimming isn't so bad.

Splashpaw nods quickly, stopping in his tracks and holding his stance in an attempt to look intimidating. It wasn't the best attempt, but he was trying. "I'd love to! I need as much practice as I can get to advance my skills anyway!" He says, his voice filled with determination.

Sageskip chuckles quietly. "Ok, Splashpaw. You'll make a great warrior someday." I won't discourage him. It's a good day today, Sageskip.

Splashpaw faces towards the river and spaces out his legs, getting ready to run. "Of course I'm gonna be a great warrior, you're my mentor after all! Once my training is complete I promise I'd be a great warrior to Riverclan. I won't let you or anyone else down." He said, genuinely believing every word. "But we already know that. I bet I can beat you to the river!" Without even giving a chance for a response, he started swiftly running towards the river, making small splashes of water as he ran through puddles.

Sageskip rolls his eyes and runs after him, making sure not to beat Splashpaw. He doesn't wanna discourage the little dude.

Piketail sits in camp next to the warrior's den, grooming her thick-furred tail.

Ashrain was emerging from the warriors den. He noticed Piketail grooming herself and decided to go over and join her.

Piketail chuckles heartily. "Yeah, but if anyone's up to that challenge, it's you." Piketail says, smiling. Would it be weird if I asked how Palestar is doing? Piketail wonders, feeling her face warm up slightly.

He laughed. "Oh, yeah. Branchtail is even more though! She gets stuck with them in the den!" He had a big smile on his face when talking about his kits and mate. "My sister is ready to apprentice them to put them on other cats' paws."

"Ah, I wonder who their mentors will be." Piketail says. "How is your sister doing?" She gulps silently, hoping the question isn't weird.

Ashrain shrugged. "She's doing good. The clan's been a little hard to learn how to lead it, but she's getting the hang of it. She's worried that she's not going to be as great as [insert past leaders name], but I think she'll be even greater."
