What do you all think?"

Looks good to me!

message 305: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1723 comments I plan to read Artificial Condition and The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet for the space opera thing & they both are brown. So... I'll have a few more surprises to add as well as STILL working on our BOMs

Artificial Condition (The Murderbot Diaries, #2) by Martha Wells The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers, #1) by Becky Chambers

message 306: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4065 comments Ladies, as much as I love the Murderbot books, make sure you're reading an edition that is actually long enough if you want them to count. We have a minimum page count of 160

Teddie (teddieg) | 2288 comments Jackie wrote: "One more, Free-Wrench (Free-Wrench #1) by Joseph R. Lallo"

I would say yes again - at least a few of those letters are brown.

message 308: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1723 comments *Sigh* I'm going to have to give up on Artificial Condition because it only has 158 stinkin' pages! But I will still read The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. Let me also add Blackberry Pie Murder & Year One to my books for this round.

Blackberry Pie Murder (Hannah Swensen, #17) by Joanne Fluke Year One (Chronicles of The One, #1) by Nora Roberts

Jillypenny | 193 comments Judy, I actually did manage to find an edition of All Systems Red that is 160 pages. I’ve altered my stats accordingly. Thanks!

Kate (kcbond) | 643 comments How is everyone doing? Heading into the last week of the challenge - what do you plan to read this week?

message 313: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4065 comments We have a fifth round, right? 😅

I have so much reading for class to do that it's been a real struggle to fit in anything for fun...

message 314: by Jackie (new)

Jackie | 2143 comments Doing good. I've been working a temporary job so reading is a little down. Hoping to meet my estimated total.

I'm planning to read the BOM The Left-Handed Booksellers of London but probably for Round 5.

message 315: by Peg (new)

Peg | 88 comments I'm bouncing between 2 books at the moment, but hopefully will finish them both tonight, but only one counts for this challenge. Tomorrow starting on Burning Boy, then from there...is there a certain letter(s) that would be most beneficial?

message 316: by Devann (new)

Devann (devannm) | 2778 comments i'm definitely slowing down a bit, mostly bc the only series i actually want to read i have to keep waiting to pick up the next book so it's been exactly six months since i last read it lol. i should finish the two i've got on the spreadsheet now and then definitely one more, probably two more though. cross your fingers for a word with an A, H, or T for the last round or else i won't be able to finish the print book i started for round 2 and never got finished!

Judy | 4065 comments Uh oh our word for the last round has been revealed: SQUEEZEPOUCH

Which... it could be worse, based on the whole list? Not ideal but this could've gone much more badly 😅

There are also some additional rules for tags/colors but it's a bit early and I can't think yet 🙈

message 322: by Peg (new)

Peg | 88 comments Agree on Ouch! It keeps us running on our difficult letter them though. I sure was hoping for a K though, lol!

I'm confused on the tags since they aren't genres...can't wait to hear the rules.

In about 2 hours, I will be free to read as much as I want through mid next week minus half of Saturday. I plan on hitting the books in such a good way!

I second Peg, kinda confused with the tags though. I read through the rules but can't seem to retain anything lol

message 324: by Devann (new)

Devann (devannm) | 2778 comments at least it has an H in it so i can finally finish the history of hell lol Z and Q is rough though

message 325: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4065 comments Okay the tags:

This is pretty much the same as the genre tag, but without the minimum 10 tags thing. 1 tag is enough (as long as it wasn't tagged as such by one of your teammates ;) )

I don't know how high the chances of finding one of these randomly are, so there's always the option of going to the genre page and just clicking through until you find something that sounds interesting https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/... (people tag all kinds of weird stuff so there's a good chance of all of these yielding something good! at first glance, vegetable seems to have quite a few books I've previously read on the first page)

Our tags are: fruit, vegetable, baby, bag

Judy | 4065 comments Devann wrote: "at least it has an H in it so i can finally finish the history of hell lol Z and Q is rough though"

Yep same! I had to read this nonfiction book for class but I'm holding out on the last few pages of notes because it only goes for S, H, L

message 327: by Devann (new)

Devann (devannm) | 2778 comments just realized i'm actually reading a book now where the author has a Z last name. was gonna use it for W for the title this round but i'll wait til next round to finish it

message 328: by Snezana (new)

Snezana | 339 comments At least it's not Extreme Quality Pizza, so that's a win I guess??

I'll have at least one Q and Z book, I'll look for some more.

message 329: by Jackie (new)

Jackie | 2143 comments Two U's and 3 E's as well. I have a Z coming up.

message 330: by Lauri (new)

Lauri (otwlauri) | 1723 comments I have a Z & a Q... Yikes! Diabolical!

message 331: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4065 comments @Jackie I may have accidentally written over a book you added for round 5 in the planning spreadsheet - the spreadsheet only refreshed after I was halfway through adding my own book and there doesn't seem to be a way to restore it :( sorry!

No problem! I'll fix it.

message 333: by Alyana (new)

message 336: by Kate (new)

Kate (kcbond) | 643 comments No worries! It does look like we could use a N or two if anyone has a quick read that could add one of those to the pile! I'm trying to finish my longer book but may have time to knock one out!

Added!

I also have finished I'm Thinking of Ending Things which works for R and Dark Duke which works for N and W.

I didn't add those because they are on the shorter side, but if there's space I can put them in the spreadsheet as well.

message 346: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4065 comments Speaking of page counts, something I noticed: if you're reading the audiobook and adding that to your shelf, we're have to use the default edition page number.

Yes, the book links I put in the ss are the default ed page number. But the ones on my shelf are the audio edition. I hope that does not cause too much trouble to the captains. Sorry!
