But the pain is in the dream only, not in real life.

Dreams cannot cause irl pain. Except if it's something like chest burm that you get if you have a nightmare. However, your sleeping position while you were having the dream is to be noted and is very important. I had a dream that a hen was biting the hell out of my hand (and I have a phobia of hens) and I was so scared and it was painful and then I woke up to see that my sister was sleeping on my freaking arm :). So that's how you would feel pain in a dream. Other than that, it's sorta impossible to feel pain in a dream.

You don't feel pain in the dream. Your mind thinks it does. One time, I had a dream that I was runover and was still alive. I had pain in my arms in the dream but then I woke up and then, boom, no pain.

That's normal. You'll remember feeling pain. But that's just your brain trying to make sense of the incident happening in your dreams.

As I stated above with my example of being runover, my mind had to make sense that if I was runover, I would feel pain. So it made me think I was feeling pain hence making sense of what's happening in the dream. I didn't feel any pain physically after I woke up from the nightmare. This is my only explanation.

Nah, no physical pain. But wow, in my dream I had like a intense pain from someone holding my hand and crushing it.
And I remember how it felt.
But didn’t have physical pain in waking up though.
