I think the problem with many parents is, they don’t know the balance between control and freedom.

So, they drift towards more control since it assures them much more.

I know a fuck ton of people who are spoiled as fuck, but their parents don't care because the only things they care about are certain things like religion for instance. I think parents just want to have mini versions of them. they want to bring people who share their beliefs and characteristics into this world (I've seen this in so many parents)
