“The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It,” is the third movie in the Conjuring series directed by Michael Chaves. It is a sequel to the second Conjuring movie, and it occurs in the Conjuring universe. If you don’t know, the Conjuring Universe is a cinematic universe full of ghosts, demons, and paranormal activity. Some notable figures and movies from this universe are Annabelle,The Nun, and La LLorona. The movie takes place in 1981 after the exorcism of David Glatzel. A demon had taken over his body, and the main protagonists, Ed and Lorraine Warren, were trying to remove this demon from his body. However, the Demon would not willingly leave, this led to another boy, Arne Johnson, to invite the demon into his body instead. This leads into a series of events that causes Arne Johnson to be accused of murder and sentenced to death. It is now up to Ed and Lorraine to prove to the court that he was not guilty, and that it was in fact a case of demonic possession.

I personally really enjoyed this movie. As a fan of ghosts and demons, this movie helped me to learn a lot more about them and was really interesting to watch. I liked how instead of being just a typical horror movie with gore and jumpscares, it was more like a mystery movie where they were trying to figure out who the murder was using clues and research. I personally did not think that the scares were that scary. This may just be because I am numb to them, people are scared of different things, so who knows. Overall, I really liked this movie, and I would rewatch it over and over again. My favorite part is that it’s based on a true story :).
