Your The Dark is Rising Background Story (by way of introduction)

Hello! I'm Capn Fart, the moderator.

I came across "The Dark is Rising" via the "Rivers of London" series by Ben Aaronovitch. Without spoiling anything about that series, Peter Grant sees the Sequence on another character's bookshelf and instantly gains respect for them.

Since I loved that series so much, and had to wait for the next installment, I picked up "The Dark is Rising"... and it didn't take long for me to order the rest of the Sequence.

I have since bought an entire Collier box set, and the McElderry box set (it's a gift for my Nephew!), and I'm rather PO'ed that I can't order that glorious red leather bound omnibus edition new anymore.

So that's it for me: Ben Aaronovitch's "Rivers of London" -> Susan Cooper's Sequence.
