Pet continues to help the Troika investigate the murders of humans by fae, and in this book she also finds out more about her past. But the Troika are also acting strangely, and she doesn't know why or how exactly their relationship is changing.

Gingell is really good at ending her books so that you really want to pick up the next one right away. At least there are only two more to go, until the next volume is published. Of course, that might not be too pleasant for me if I have to wait a long while for it!
