TART Challenge - Round 4 - Have Book...Can Travel (3)

It was wonderful
Looking forward to competing with you next round!

I was jealous when you guys read the In Death series... these are my go-to audiobooks when I travel... and I am heading to Georgia (a 10-hour trip) in the morning! Now, which one will I listen to next? hehehe

Hazel, sometimes you need to diversify your reading. The truth is I read a couple of MM or LGBTQ+ books, and I don't mind them. I believe in accepting every human being. It would help if we learned about everything and anything. I am in the opinion through books you can learn a lot of things.

..."
Donna, we can do a read-along and start the series from the beginning. Make a book and have conversations. That was you won't be jealous and we can read together a very loved series.

If you want to move to the dark side, lol, we can give you some recs. Not all of our books read in the last day would be a great way to start your journey.
Let us know your likes , or more importantly dislikes and well let you know.

Lisa, I am open to suggestions as I am new to the MM genre. I am a person that gives chances to whatever falls on my hands.

That sounds great! I would have to start with book 1, though! I think this is the ONE series that I have never read in order. When I need a travel book, I just grab the newest one out on audio and hit the road! *headdesk* ;p

Donna, I read the three first books through the kindle and listened through the Scribd app. If you have the Scribd app, you are settled.

Be warned... I like FLUFF! *grin*
I am still a huge lover of M/F historicals! Just never did get back into reading contemporary after I discovered historicals!

I have heard of the Scribd app, but haven't ever taken the time to check on it...

You should check it out, Donna. For $8.99, you get e-books as well as audiobooks. I really enjoy the app, and I also use the anyplay app, but the thing that I don't like about anyplay is the maximum reading speed is 1.75, even though on the website it is 2. I watch YouTube at two times speed and audiobooks between 2.5 & 3 times speed.

Ignore this person... Evil person... LOL!!!"
You two are funny. It is a great thing to make new friends. I can certainly say that we are friends.

Sure, Hazel. Shoot the information.

Everything is ok, Hazel; adulting is hard. Your son's education is more important.

Of course, we want to know, but I am too lazy to do the math! *snort* LOL!!!

In a month and a half, reading 42 books is something I have never done in my life. I might have to reread a couple of books to remember what I read. Has it happened to anyone of you guys? The truth I also read other books for other challenges that didn't feet to The Amazing Race challenge

Of course, we want to know, but I am too lazy to do the math! *snort* LOL!!!"
ok

Donna, Hazel is regular with numbers, that is why she is a very good captain.

Total Books 184
Total Pages 40,121
Donna read 52 books and 10,297 pages
Shannon read 50 books and 11,308 pages
Lisa read 42 books and 9035 pages
Jane read 40 books and 9481 pages

Good job, ladies. Maybe next round I will take a couple of days vacation (as I have a lot of days). Go to a hotel and read day and night without thinking of anything. I would only eat and read and post my tasks.

Last round we didn't have a read-off... so much easier, but this was a lot more fun!

i thought you were all just MM readers.
Ive read a few of the Sarina Bowen MM books and a few books with MMF/MFM, and i would read a MM book again. There are just too many MF books on my list and it keeps getting longer.

you are so ambitious! thanks for doing that...it's fun to see the break down.

I agree with the hotel idea! I don't work (I am old) but I don't think I have had RL interfere with my reading as much as it did during our read-off time... *headdesk* ;p

I have MANY favorite M/M authors, but as a group, I would say N. R. Walker is an all-around favorite!

The Loitering Layabouts, who are nothing like their name, finished completing 29 tasks and read 32 books for the last task totally 5420 pages.
They are very lucky I didn't go with page count as the tie breaker this round - and I very nearly did!
I loved that you were competing to the very end! It made the challenge more fun for me too!

Kat, Hazel, is good with a lot of organizing things. She is a fantastic captain.

That would have been a wild, stressful contest!
Great job! You guys kept us on our toes and our noses in our books right to the end!
