Love it. I have been missing them. I read Among the living so it is nice to read the earlier books. Will post my completion post as soon as I am done"

First book done here as well!

I am really digging this series. Jordan Hawk has proven to be the best at world creating over and over, and she's done it again! I love how she creates unusual characters, unusual worlds and a great plots to weave it all together. Excellent!

It’s been years since my first reading of this book. I have to admit Cicero and Tom are my absolute favorite story in this series. Again, Excellent!

How was your holiday? Fun?
I bet seeing your brother and his family was fun

message 407: by Diane (new)

Diane | 878 comments My family is crazy. My youngest and my brother's daughter are 16 and 17 and literally spent over an hour in the lake today swimming. Lake Huron. In October. My other daughter and their friend are here too so decided to go for a dip as well. Since they were there my brother and his wife and youngest, my 12 year old nephew, also went for a dip! It was nice weather, but i don't go swimming in October! They said it was cool but not too bad. I think they are nuts. And they all decided to not go home today but stay over one more night which means my husband and I now have to sleep on a pullout instead of our bed. Sometines I wish we were a little less fun !!

message 408: by Diane (new)

Diane | 878 comments We made turkey a la king with leftovers tonight then cooked some pizzas and perogies to get them out of the freezer. We have a separate freezer here we unplug over the winter so needed to clean it out. Have only one last bottle of wine to open to get me thru sleeping on the pullout...

message 409: by Wende (new)

Wende | 1741 comments Enjoy the wine Diane. Maybe it will make the pullout more bearable

Loved this book. It is the spooky one. A serial killer that does not have the good sense to go to the light? Maybe hell? I had fogotten how spooky this one was.

I had two shorty ones that added up to a regular book.

Crave Me (Geek Ink #2) by R. Cayden
Crave Me by R. Cayden

How it fits: From blurb; I think we couldn’t be more different, but after a blizzard passes through Chicago one fateful night, something joins us.
Date read: 11/10/21
Rating: 4 stars
Review:
This was so darn cute. And hot. And cute. And hot. It was a sweet and fast paced story but yet it filled me with so many emotions and I was rooting for Milo and Joey from the very start. I loved the epilogue. It made me all warm and fuzzy inside, and honestly a little teary eyed.

Review:
Somehow this managed to be both super sweet and quite angsty at the same time and... it kinda worked for me. Maybe it's because it's Felice Stevens, I'm a sucker for her books after all.

Diane | 878 comments Completion Post - Task 8 -- Set in a Major City

Book: The Sugared Game
The Sugared Game (The Will Darling Adventures, #2) by K.J. Charles
Author: KJ Charles
Pages: 288
How it qualifies: Setting: London/ MPG
Finished: Oct 12
Rating: 4.5 stars
Review: Great second book to this series. I just love Will. So down to earth and honest and needing to be more than a bookseller. Was kind of hoping he would be recruited to work with Kim instead of Kim being ousted from his job, but it leaves the next book wide open. Phoebe as usual was a marvelous side character, the villains were dastardly; and the sense of the difference between those privileged versus those not was well done.

Wende | 1741 comments Because you have a busy life right now having celebrated a holiday. We are having fun just doing a challenge together. I am having a blast.

message 420: by DeeNeez (new)

DeeNeez | 697 comments It’s not like we are fighting Lisa for her team’s crown. But I did snicker when I looked over the team standings. There are 3 other teams running neck to neck…giving Lisa’s team a run for her crown. πŸ˜‚

I see! That would be stressful

DeeNeez | 697 comments Wende wrote: "Has anyone told we are done?"

Nope, but Gustaf should be coming online soon I would think. Not sure what time he gets home from work, but it’s around 5:30pm in his time zone.

message 424: by Diane (new)

Diane | 878 comments I didn't even know there were standings to be honest. Will check it out now. I am just so happy to be continuing. The last time I tried this challenge was with Emilienne on our team and it was right when her life exploded and she stopped reading and posting, so we never finished the race.

message 425: by DeeNeez (new)

DeeNeez | 697 comments I think our team is running in the middle of the pack in the standings. I was was just curious about Lisa’s team Loitering Layabouts…cause she was bragging how they win ever year 😏

message 426: by DeeNeez (new)

DeeNeez | 697 comments Oh, I think we are the chattiest team! We need to keep that crown πŸ‘‘

message 427: by Gustaf (new)

MountainKat | 31763 comments And here is your next task!

Task 9 - 56. As a team, pick a list with over 100 romance books on it, each member reads a book from that list. No pass for this task.

As a team, select one of GR Listopia Romance Lists with over 100 books on it, then everyone reads a book from that list. This task is limited to romance. Please include a link to the chosen list in your completion posts along with number of your selected book.

message 436: by Diane (new)

Diane | 878 comments I updated mine too. We had our Selection posts wrong, which started the whole thing.

message 437: by Gustaf (new)

Gustaf | 1936 comments So for this task, I messed up the lists. The list we have selected on this one is for the one with less than 100 books. Meaning, I don't think we have a pre selected list.

message 438: by Diane (new)

Diane | 878 comments Uh guys, the list we decided on only has 82 books in it -- Books with ratings over 4.5. We need a different one.

message 439: by Diane (new)
