I’m so glad Jamie is safe. And thankful he didn’t witness any of the violence as well.

MountainKat | 31763 comments Here is your next task!

Task 14 - 104. Read 8 holiday books.

The qualification for this task can be the generic 'holiday' or specific like Christmas or Halloween. Holiday needs to be the American type of holiday as opposed to the British. Qualification can come from the title, series, precis, tags or lists. Remember to let me know how you know the books work so I know where to look to confirm them. Please include any info or links as necessary.

I seem to be the slowest so far, so why don't I pick 1 to start and then we'll see who is done quicker? OK?

Wende | 1741 comments Gustaf do you think it fits? It is a Christmas book as titles says but it is so new there are no tags. It was published on October 17. I am almost done and it is a feel good book.
I will read another one later. Harry went to pick up our food and wine. We are having a date night. So until he goes to sleep around ten no much reading.

It says it can be qualified from the title, so I think yes.

Review:
This book (ignore the clumsy title) was so much fun. I laughed out loud more times than I could count at the antics Griffin and West got up to as human/ghost roommates. I was seriously invested from the very first page and couldn't have stopped reading even if I wanted to.

The romance might have taken a little bit of the backseat to leave space for the reader to really get to know Griff and West. Usually that would put me out, but I enjoyed "hanging" out with them so much that I really didn't mind that. Byron was always there in both interaction and conversation, but this story truly was about Griff and West. My only complaint is that this is on the shorter side and I didn't get to "hang" out with them as much as I wanted. Daryl Banner left the ending quite open though, so here's for wishing we might just get more Griff and Wes in the future. I'm making up a list of book titles as I'm writing this review. "My Ghost Roommate - Who Helps Me Pop The Question", "My Ghost Roommate - Who Leads Me Down The Altar", "My Ghost Roommate - Who Keeps The Baby Quiet So I Can Get Some Damn Sleep". I can go on I swear, but I'm going to spare you. Daryl Banner, if you read this, take notes.

Most of all though, this was the perfect escape. I don't know I can properly explain the feeling I got from reading this book, but it really was something truly special. Read it! Just do it!

"and we - we go our separate ways after, and we date other people, and someday at Jason's wedding, we introduce those new people in our lives to each other, and someday, we'll stop wondering about the what-ifs."

I really enjoyed this book. It was sweet and lighthearted. Kevin and Drew had so much chemistry, my kindle almost burned up and the ust was delicious. The best friends father/brother trope is kind of a guilty pressure for me and this is for sure going to be right up there amongst my favorites.

Kind of silly, kind of cute and a bunch of corny puns. A one night stand turns into a story all about family. I think the ghost girls were the most interesting, even if they played only brief appearances.

I loved this book. It was a feel good book. Abigail was a mail order bride who cam to marry the town drunk. She did not know that of course. David stepped in to take his place. I love mail order brides and this one hit the spot. I guess I like two people who know nothing about each other gets married and start a life

Review: This was a sweet look at Gabe and Josh celebrating their first Christmas with all their parents and their 11 month old babies. Very cute look at their family life, but I didn't feel like the addition of the mysterious Christmas Bandits added much to the story. I think it was just that these have all been mystery books, so one was added in. It was really treated more like an aside, though, just something blocking them from being perfect. You never even really get to meet the perpetrators once they are finally caught. Lots of sex with these guys too. I can't remember having nearly that much energy with my babies, and I didn't have twins.
