Thank you Wende! I powered through that one.

Review: I never got into this book. I found Baha and egotistical ass. I never got to like him at all. Jackson needed to run as fast and as far away as he could. I think my problems with this book is I don't like fake relationships and that is mostly what this book was. It did not have ha humor I expect from Maz. It really felt like it was written by someone else. ( I know she wrote it not saying otherwise) it just felt different and not as good as her others. I think I have an expectation when I read this author and this book did not deliver.

Book: Purgatory Playhouse (Magic Emporium) by E.J. Russell
Purgatory Playhouse

Review: This was a fun romp through greek mythology figures who are stuck in purgatory and having to perform a play for the gods once a year for a chance at redemption. The hero, TD, is down on his luck and gets magically sent there to help mount a Shakespeare play. It was very lighthearted with more plot than sex, and a HEA. Would have preferred a longer final get together scene, but it was sweet and had puppies!!

A mild kink story, with lots and lots of rope play. I found the romance very sweet as Vann and Landon learned to trust each other in the world of rope play. It was hot, sweet, and steamy, with a bit of cappuccino on the side.

Normally, I’m not into just sweet romances. With no mystery, no action or adventure, no intrigue, no angst, no interesting world building…stories just get boring. But what held my interest was all the details of the rope play, even the making and dying the rope. Otherwise this would have just been another overly sweet romance, two dudes fall in love end of story.

Review
Wow, Pure joy to read! This was light-hearted, funny, and a great story to leave you all warm and fuzzy. A story with two beautiful romances, one with an intriguing mystery. Malachi starts a new job at the dead letter center, when his new hot boss, Julian, gives him a mission to find the owner of the 40 year old bundle of love letters. The letters were so poetic, so beautifully romantic; I loved the story and history behind them. Again, both romances were great!
