It was slow going thru the Fav Gay Couple list…. Almost to the end at page#26 before is saw it! Otherwise I was going to read a Josh Lanyon book 😂

I really want to try a Maz Maddox book too. Never read before.
I've quit reading Josh Lanyon all together except for rereading the only book I like.
Scotland road trip, if I remember correctly. Good book.

Review;
I loved getting to know Dora at the beginning as she is such a major part in spook squad. To understand all Vic went through makes you understand why he has drug and mental problems. Stefan was an ass but in a way you could understand where he was coming from. He was offering up Vic to protect himself. He is not as such evil but he was a scared young boy. I think he is still that scared boy but he has kept using others to protect himself into adulthood. That has now made him evil. He went from used to user. He did it for money. Betrayed a person who trusted him for money.

Review: OMG wow, these just keep getting better. Loved this story. Cooper and Oliver's relationship continues to evolve, there is action and adventure and sex, hot sex. Cooper continues his quest for greater self understanding and has some insights. So loved the proposal!!!!

I agree. Tal recommended this series to me. I read the whole series in one weekend with hoopla

My google is acting up. I am home Emily is sleeping so my light won't turn off. So I woke up after sleeping with my blanket over my head mind you 😂😂😂 now going to try to get more sleep in. Hope Emily has to go pee so she can reset it. Oh well back to blanket over my head

I am loving this series! One extremely grumpy dinosaur shifter and one hot swooning cowboy with a wicked smile are on a mission to save the relics of the past. These two are like oil and water, enemies to loves all the while pretending to engaged. Yup, fake boyfriend/fiancé trope, one of my favorite! The mystery of what our cowboy Jackson shifter form was great. Never would have guessed. Their first date in the cave scene…was so sweet and romantic. Swoon material!

It was ok but I couldn't really bring myself to focus on it. I could really tell it was written a few years ago. Especially if you look at some of this authors more recent books

There is something wrong with me. I think I am in a reading slump. I don't like this book and I love everything Maz writes so it is me. The humor is missing
I'm feeling the same. I usually Teodora Kostovas books but I have a hard time with this one.

The humor is missing"No, it didn’t have the crazy antics of Dalton and Simon. It was more the occasional snicker. But I did think this one ended up more romantic once Mr Grumpy gave in.
I have read ever book and this one is not catching my attention. I just don't like it. It just does not seem to be a Maz book. So I think I am in a reading slump. I hope you get out of it also Gustaf.

It was right after I read who the murderer was from the other series and it seemed like a cop out so I think maybe that is why.

Review:
I'm usually a huge fan of this author but this one just didn't work for me. First of all I didn't really care for Zach and this book is entirely from his point of view. He was whiny, self destructive and very hard to like. After a while I was praying for Alec's point of view just to get away from Zach's head. Second, the stellar writing I've seen in this author's earlier books wasn't there. The romance beats wasn't there and it was way too much telling instead of showing. Like so many scenes could've been saved by some dialogue.
