He really is the GLUE beacsuse in book 3 the instant Newt realises that he has got the Flare and its importance in the weapons room of the WICKED Compound he becomes angsty which leads to a further fight between him and Minho and within no time the team collapses.
I totally agree Newt is and always will be the glue my opinion on newt will never change he is amazing

Heres the deal. This series would be trash without Newt because Thomas, Teresa and everyone besides Minho, Brenda and Newt (obi) Sucks ass. Just my opinion

We all loved Newt from the beginning. The sandy hair. Accent. His love for Thomas. But then he started sacrificing himself emotionally and phiscly. He wouldn’t let anyone know about him having the virus. He didn’t want them to worry. He loved everyone. From Chuck all the way to Winston, even tho he had to let them both go. He was with Thomas even in Fever Code. It was one thing Newt literally stabbing himself, but newt was always sad. He had tried to commit suicide, because he was sad. But this time is was to save his best friend. Once we got past that the note I know for sure just broke everyone. That fact that Newt followed Thomas everywhere showed that he beloved in a better ending. That he wasn’t scared of dying. He thought that his best friends life was worth more than his. That he didn’t regret it. That he didn’t want to live in a world where they just sat around. That he enjoyed everything so much, that even if he died doing it, he would not change everything they did. And lastly that he wanted Thomas to be happy. That he loved him, cared for him, was there for him even when he was gone. Newt was the glue. But he is to strong that even when true glue fades, everything stays together, like the glue never left.
Lol I feel kind of weird cause a wrote a whole paragraph on newt like I knew him
I think it's safe to say we all love Newt. I mean, the groups name is literally a Newt quote!

He wouldn’t let anyone know about him having the ..."This got me emotinal but every word of it is true and i think the reason why we all like Newt is we find something from ourselves in him and the way he sees the world. When you look at him and analise his character you see he experienced every phase of living. From loneliness to depression and fighting for what you belive in and what you care, loosing people... list goes on. So we find him relatable and realistic and we connect to him. I dont if any of these makes sense but thats what i think. (and sorry if there is any grammar errors)

He is easily my favourite and I put off reading the crank palace for months because I knew it was still to soon to experience his death all over again and when I got around to reading it it was even sadder than I imagined. He was such a great character and worked perfectly as the glue and I don't think I'll ever fully be over his death.
