Ok, so where were we...oh right, in the pit of despair.
Actually it was more of a prickly thicket of frustration, but despair would not have been far behind. Thankfully Woof-in-Sandals has a most piteous howl that can be heard for many miles off and a whimper that could move the gods. He generally uses it when his dinner is late. Today however the gods were unneeded because the wizard Morewine was within hearing range and immediately came to the pup's rescue. We of course were an afterthought, but he got us out too. Morewine had in fact gone to get a dragon so as to cover more ground in the search for the Princess. That's the kind of intelligence that we could really use more of around here.
We set off aboard the dragon to spy out the land, and did indeed cover much ground, but without much success. Where oh where could the princess be? What could have happened to her?

Well with a dragon's eye view, you don't have to travel far to see a lot. At the town of By-A-River, there was a huge market taking place with a large festival. We all had a pretty good idea where Sir DanceALot was. He's a nice boy really, but not great at staying on track. You'd think someone with a noble father (he's the sixth son of Lord Tangent) would be a little more focused on living up to the family legacy but oh well. He wouldn't be the first apple to roll away from the tree. What was I saying...?
Oh right the market festival. We argued a bit about splitting up and looking for clues. The Wise Wizard Morewine kept us together and we headed off searching the various rows of market stalls and trying not to buy everything we saw. More tempting than even a library book sale! We had just sat down in the beer garden for a refreshment and to rest our sore feet when who should we spy but Sir DanceALot! You'll never guess what he was up to! He *was* dancing, but how did you know that? Seriously, did somebody tell you??

And I agree with Emily - these adventures are the best! Thankyou so much Jackie.😁😁😁

Haha, I'm glad you guys like them because they are usually written in the manner of "OH Shhhh....what did I name any of these characters? What did they just do? UMMMM panicpanicpanic" and then I spend 30 minutes trying to think of footwear that isn't 'boots'.

Well, it's not easy to get Sir DanceALot away from a party, especially one with good dancing. He had been on his way to the Dark Forest to look for the princess when he got a little distracted. And once that man starts to two-step, boy howdy it is going to be a long time til he stops. It required a full group tackle to get his toes to quit twitchin'.
Ok Smarty, since you know so much, now that we have all our friends gathered up again, maybe you'd care tell us how we find Princess Noseypants? Hmm? Oh NOW you're out of ideas. Great, us too.
