I'm an author. What happens if I don't register in time? Can I still participate in the interview?
» If you do not register, you still can participate. However, I cannot do any promotions related to you. I can't advertise your giveaway, if applicable. I also cannot include you on the author line up.
I'm an author. Why would I want to host a giveaway?
» If you choose to host a giveaway, you can advertise your book, while simultaneously getting more attention and hopefully more reviews and ratings for your book. Remember, you can set the requirements!
I'm a member. How will I know what giveaways are offered? How do I enter?
» Authors are supposed to register by October 1. I will know by then what giveaways are being offered. I am hoping to post a list by then of the authors participating, as well as the books they are giving away.
» After I post the list, a thread will be open for you to choose which book giveaways you'd like to enter. You will not be eligible to win any giveaways unless you participate in the AIE.
I'm a member. How will I know if I won a author–sponsored giveaway?
» Short answer: I don't know.
» Long answer: Because the giveaways are sponsored by the author, BNU is not responsible for the giveaways. Thus, I will not know if you have won any giveaways.

This Saturday, BNU is hosting its first Author Interview Event (AIE), and you're invited!
AIE is a panel–style, open forum in which BNU members (the "interviewers") can ask authors (the "interviewed") their burning questions. However, AIE isn't just for the readers. Authors can benefit from the event as well. Through the event, authors can promote their books and gain more attention to themselves. (So if you're looking to market any of your books, this is your event!)

BNU is hosting its very first Author Interview Event (AIE)!

~Helpful Terms~
**BNU refers to this group, Book Nerds Unite.
**GR refers to Goodreads.
**Members refers to members of Book Nerds Unite.
**Participants refers to the authors et. al who are registered for this event.
**Authors refers to authors and all other participants.
**Members will be the interviewers.
**Participants will be the interviewed.
This interview will occur as a panel–type event, in which members of this group can ask questions before and during the event.
On the date of the event, participants will have the opportunity to go to the discussion thread and answer any of the questions they want. However, it is encouraged that participants answer as many questions as possible, rather than the metaphorical bare minimum. Likewise, it is encouraged that members ask as many questions as possible.
That being said, it is NOT required that members or participants attend the event in full. They may attend as little or as much as they want. They may attend for the first hour, leave, and return for the last 15 minutes. That decision is completely up to them. Nonetheless, the more participation there is, the better the event will run!
Participants also have the option of hosting a giveaway just for BNU members who participate in the discussion. As the giveaway host, participants can design the giveaway however they may choose. This also means that they can choose whomever they want. BNU is not responsible for any part of this process.

Questions asked will vary in topics but can include:
・ Upcoming books
・ How to publish books
・ Overcoming writer's block
・ Coming up with ideas for books
・ And more!
Just some of the goals of this event include:
・ Introducing members to new authors
・ Allowing participants to promote their own books
・ Attracting more attention to participants and their books
・ Gaining a new understanding of the publishing process
・ Guiding aspiring authors on their path

TIME: 12:00p PST (3:00p EST)
DURATION: 3 hours
PARTICIPATION: Drop–in anytime during the event!
