Ya, I'm 12, read the whole Harry Potter series, need something new to read. Any ideas?

If you liked fantasy, have you read the Hobbit yet?What types of things do you like to read besides HP? THat will help with answering. :)
Um, I also like books like Code Orange (diseses) or something about any mythology (Greek, Roman, etc).
A Wrinke in Time is an excellent suggestion. Or there is The Chronicles of Naria by C.S. Lewis.
What other kinds of books other than HP interest you?
Quite late jumping in on this one, but I would like to second the recommendations for A Wrinkle in Time (its sequels are wonderful, also) and The Black Cauldron, although I would start with The Book of Three, the first in the series.I would also like to add The Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper. The first book is Over Sea Under Stone (although it was written later, it is the first chronologically).
Also, The Neverending Story is wonderful.
There's also a book called Wizard's Hall by Jane Yolen, which is the same concept as Harry Potter, if I remember correctly. And Jane Yolen writes a lot of great books, I read Dragon's Blood when I was 13 and loved it.
Check out Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick. I still reread it from time to time. It isn't fantasy; it's straight fiction about friendship, imagination, and life.
I absolutely triple the recommendation for A Wrinkle In Time. An excellent and fun and intriguing book. I probably read it at 13 or 14 and I have literally read it at least once a year since then.
I've never read The Giver. I really ought to do so. Everyone has.
I've also not read that. I probably should. I went to this really crappy high school in Virginia for the 12th grade, wherein we were reading books that I had read in my 9th grade English (like Brave New World) and the teacher recognized my frustration and offered two books to this girl and I for a kind of independent study thing, one of them being Lois Lowry, but on the caveat that she and I read the same book so that we could kind of test together. Because I had a kooky little thing for this girl, I said, "You pick. Whatever you choose will be perfect," or something cheesy and she picked the other one: Anthem by Ayn Rand. Ugh.
Count me in on The Wrinkle in Time recommendation. It is the first of a series so if you enjoy it you'll have several books to read. The Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper is also very good. You might also try the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman.
