Hi and welcome, Linda! What platform did you use for self publishing (if you don't mind me asking). My first novel went through Draft2Digital. I'm curious to learn some of your biggest takeaways from self publishing.
I started with Create Space / Amazonnow it's KDP/ Amazon. I used them because there is no upfront costs. but sometimes if there is edit issues that their software won't correct they don't really help

Interesting. Yes, it seems that platforms are doing their best to make everything fully automated so that they can just grab the lion's share of profits off the top with as little interaction as possible. It's not really surprising, but still makes me wonder if I should learn more toward the people part of traditional publishing. Thanks for answering. :)
welcome. traditional publishing would be good if you can get one to accept your manuscript and give you a contract which takes an act of congress lol
