"That's right. We was on the outside. We never done nothing, we never seen nothing."

This is a quote about piggy trying to cover up the murder of Simon. He refuses to believe that he, or those who still side with him had anything to do with it. He is basically attempting to not even acknowledge that it happened. This shows that Piggy is finally starting to change, finally starting to become a little callus to what goes on around him. However, it shows that he is also trying to fight this change. This shows that he doesn't want to be associated with it, because he knows that it was wrong to rip apart simon with peoples teeth. He isn't completely dettached from society, but he is starting to fade.
