@Caro no, we joined the same group on FB and then Sandy remembered me and she is friends with Raven. So crazy!
@Rachel: same here. I'm saving my vacation time for December when I'm planning a missions trip to India. Makes for a boring summer, but I'm looking forward to the trip.
@Amanda: OMGosh that's awesome! The Silver Chair is my second favorite Narnia book! Are you and your brother the main characters?

Happy to see some are still active on here. I moved back home this summer after being gone for 8 years! Finding work & a home church are my summer goals.

Where've you been for the past eight years?

Hi Madi! IKR, i'm glad we all check in now and again.
Well I've been going to an international bible study for a couple years. Last year I met a native girl (her nickname is Pretty) who was visiting from India, her father is a pastor and they have a ministry to the people of India. And then I met an american lady who has been to India four times and we started talking about planning a trip together. I've always had an interest in Indian culture, so I'm super excited. It's going to be a private missions trip, self funded. We'll be going early December for around ten days and we'll be staying at Pretty's house ministering to Indian slum children.
How's it going being back home again?
And I hear you about finding a good church. I recently decided to leave my home church. I already found a new one, but I'm having a hard time fitting in and getting to know people. Especially because of my crazy job schedule, I feel like I have no social life right now lol

@Essilie: So to make a really long story short, when I was 11 my life hit a super low point. Sad to say, but because of negative influences & situations, I needed a divine intervention. So my dad brought me to an all girls boarding school in the south. 4 years was spent doing the program/ finishing high school. It was there I gave my life to the Lord & got a second chance! the other 4 years were spent working full time & giving back all the hope I was given. Now a new chapter has begun & I've moved back home (California) to see what God has next.
whew! sorry for the long rant!

well I just started the selected works of margaret sanger (if you guys know who she is?) and it's been a scarring experience.
@Madi: I remember that. I bet it was a really cool experience! I really cannot wait for my trip, it's going to be so awesome!
Yes, I totally understand about moving and finding a new church and friends. I've been spiritually growing so much recently that I decided it was time for me to find a new church and so I've started attending a church that my brother found (where as my mom, dad and sister still go to the old church), it's really hard to fit in and make friends. Especially because it is a small church and almost all of the members are newly married or newer families. Not a lot of singles around. :/ But I'm working on making some friends and I've started attending a community group. Yay!
@Caro: Oh gosh Caro, is this for carious research or school?

sorry! completely interrupted your conversation and didn't realize because I never clicked on the last page. Curious research-it's quite a surreal experience
Also! Check the politics thread? I ranted awhile ago and still have a lot of thoughts on it, haha
Hi Rose! I'm doing well, how about you?
It's so different not having been active on goodreads for ages. I kind of miss all the interesting discussions we used to have here. :)

What are you all studying/planning to study in uni?
Haha it's been such a long time! I have no idea right now, my tentative major is somewhere between environmental engineering and chemical engineering but I'm pretty much open to anything haha.

Hi Rachel. Please don't leave the group. Do you want to talk about it? You message anyone of us.
I know that we haven't been active, but we still care. ❤
