Sorry for suddenly disappearing like I did. Can't really explain why. But I missed this group and chatting with you all. I hope you're all doing well.

:) I hope you've all been enjoying your summer! What have you girls been up to? I should get Sam on here and it'll be like old times.
Yesss Lena was here the other day. At a college camp for five weeks right now! Samm ahh university English professors here are AMAZING
Yay!!! Cari, so glad you are back. We've been so dead these last couple of months lol, need some new chat time. :D
I'm going into high school next year and I'm so nervous and excited!
Any advice? :)

Don't worry about people lol (: Making friends in class usually isn't too hard. Join a bunch of clubs that's always fun. Freshmen year is usually blow off and easy then sophomore/junior/senior is like death.

College camp? Sounds fun! Which college?
5 weeks though... packing must have been crazy! I was recently at a weekend retreat and even I didn't enjoy packing for that. lol

Ah, yes. I imagine there must be a lot more to say about the topic now with the marriage equality ruling. I shall go take a look.

It seems there's always a season of lots of activity followed by a season of almost none. #RevivalTime

My advice is... don't be nervous! Haha. High school is great, really. Be active, be involved, do your best, pick your classes wisely, and have fun!

I'm heading to Peru in a couple weeks for a missions trip, so excited. It will be my first time out of the country.

Thanks girls! I leave Monday, and will be gone for almost a week and a half. So excited, though kind of not looking forward to the long flights. :/
:) Yep,
Hey, does anyone have a recommendation for a really long interesting book that I could read on my flights? You all know what I like, fantasy, historical fiction, sci-fi, pretty much anything.

The Harry Potter series? I know they're not for every Christian, but they're actually good books, and put together, they're definitely long like you wanted. :)

Have you ever tried reading Gone With the Wind? That's a really long one. As for interesting... I thought it to be so. I loved all 800+ pages of it!
For a completely different story, but historical fiction as well... This based on a true story--A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly. (Def. not an 800-pager, though. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions, both are good. I'll see if my library has the first Harry Potter, and then when I finish that I can read Gone with the Wind or Northern Light. GWTW is a great long read!
Heading off tomorrow for Peru, going to be crazy haha. We have to get up at 2 AM to get ready and to the airport on time. Can't wait though, just hope I packed everything I need. Talk to you girls in about 2 weeks!
Gone with the wind was the greatest accomplishment of my literary career. DO read it Elizabeth :)
Technically I only started reading it because of cari's review lol

Lol my GwTW review. Ahh. xD
It took me two weeks to read and usually I get a book read in 1-2 days. But I never lost interest in it. I actually liked that I was able to chill and enjoy a book for longer than I usually do. :)

It was awesome! I was kind of scared because I don't speak Spanish, but I connected with everyone really well. I want to go back next year now.
