Can any of you please reccomend to me any adult comedies (either shows or movies) that don't have any raunchy content whatsoever and that seem more like family comedies? It seems like the only clean comedies are on Disney or Nick. I backed out of watching Friends because they sleep around. I know sex is a gift from God for married couples but I don't like when the media cheapens it. The only clean comedy I can think of besides Disney and Nick is Mom's Night Out. Any ideas? I want something that's funny but with lessons in it at the same time.

it's hard to try and empathize with people who have been mislead (weird to think that other people see us that way too lol) but i guess we just have to try and turn that "this is ridiculous feeling" into "this makes their soul so much more important"

but agreed some of its pretty crazy. Especially like hindu mythology too, when my friends are doing environmental science one minute and going to sunday school class and learning about how thunder/lightning comes from gods' wars the next. I'm not sure how their belief in that works...

Yeah, some of the mythology and religions of the world are pretty crazy. Sometimes it's hard for me to grasp how people can believe stuff like that. But then sometimes I take a look at what we Christians say and it can sound pretty unbelievable at times too.

And lol Caro XP I used to think the exact same thing! Like, think about how strange some false religion's beliefs were, and then I'd immediately think of my own Christian ones and be like 'hm...well that's pretty weird too. Guess I can't blame them for their beliefs...I mean, I'm sure if I'd grown up in their religion I'd think/believe the exact same thing!'.
But really, I guess my thinking has really changed some there.
Like, I know I'd feel totally completely empty and have that hole in my heart even if I'd been if I'd grown up in some other religion...I know God would be knocking on my heart, and...I don't know, I guess the truth would just become apparent eventually!
Thankfully that hypothetical situation never happened :) I'm really blessed to have grown up in a Christian family/been able to be exposed to the gospel and the Bible and the truth from a very young age.

Hm...might have gotten off track there a little I guess....um... *tries to turn it around*
Oh yeah! I actually don't think that way anymore about certain things in Christianity being weird really. I mean, except for some stuff in Revelation or something that has be pressing a hand to my head and going 'uuuungh...so...weird and hard to get...' :P

Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes I wish that I hadn't been brought up in a christian family just so I could experience coming to a belief in Christ. But honestly I'm really thankful I did grow up with christian parents.

YES i feel like i'd have a more interesting testimony/if i experienced the conversion it would be easier to relate to and communicate with non christians

Hm...I feel like I'm gonna kinda be echoing my words from earlier, but whatever XP
I used to feel the exact same way Elizabeth and Caro!
Buuuut honestly, I feel like I'm living out my testimony right now. Idk, I don't think a testimony ends immediately after you get saved. It also has to do with the hard times God gets you through (like, last summer was soooo hard...and things are still hard, but in a completely different way).

Yes, I agree. Even though I made the decision to trust Jesus as my personal savior at a young age. I've actually found that some of my biggest decisions about sticking with it and my biggest growth has been this year and 2014.

There's this show called Gilligan's Island, and it's old but good :) My sisters like it a lot. I mean, it's kinda boring to me but I think that's just cause I'm getting older or whatever :P

Why is it that when I try to point out that sin is wrong to people, they always fire back with things like: It's my life, I'll do what I want, or it's not your place to judge, or it's not my place to judge, which they're right on the second one, I'm not the judge and neither are they. God is the ultimate judge, but that's still not an excuse to sin on purpose. I'm just trying to speak the truth in love, but I feel that I'm getting persecuted for it verbally. Even some of my family members have gotten offended. I know that Jesus got ridiculed too and he rose above it but it can get hard sometimes. People want to make followers of Jesus look bad. I'll comtinue to pray for them so they might see God's truth and love someday.

That's true. A lot is about approach I suppose but nowadays people stretch the word judges it of context when what we're actually doing is discerning

Why are some people so superficial when you hit your twenties? Like I'm not hating on anyone here but since I'm 21 people keep asking me when are you going to drink or gamble? It's like they think you need to lose your childhood innocence. I just prefer to keep my childhood activities. But I guess some people don't see that. I'm kind of sorry for that.

I feel you, though I don't have people asking me those questions, 0_0 gosh that's kind of rude. But I generally have a problem with people my age just not being into anything that is long lasting or interesting. It's super annoying for making friends.

Yeah. Oh well. Their choice if they want to be ignorant. By the way, I need some recommendations if you have any: I want to watch a show with a group of friends but I don't want to have any sexual content, drug use, swearing or anything bad. It seems like all of the clean friendship shows are geared towards tweens and teens, and while I enjoy these, I want to expand my horizons but I still want to be appropriate. Is there such a show with an adult cast where it's tame? I stopped watching friends because I find it pretty racy even though most people think it has a pg rating. So in general I'm just looking for a live action tv show about friendship that would be a better and clean alternative to that.
