Satisying Read?

Some reviews called this book a satisfying/inspirational read, that made them feel lucky about their family and happy for Westover's success despite her original setbacks. Did you feel like this book was a satisfying read? How did the ending make you feel?

I don’t think this book should have gotten all the praise and attention that it received. I feel that it was not well written and was kind of choppy in spots. Tara did accomplish a lot because of her intelligence. I also felt that she was trying to impress us with her scholarly reading but never got into why she liked this work or that. I felt that she was name dropping a little. She has a very interesting story to share but I was not wowed by this read

I agree Mare, I didn't like this book much either. What really turned me off was when she mentioned her professor commenting that her writing was the best they came across in 30 years. I didn't find her writing that spectacular.
