Steel World by BV Larson, The Vine Witch by Luanne G Smith, or Lore by Alexandra Bracken

The Shades of Magic trilogy by VE Schwab. But I wouldn't say they are imperfect, they are pretty damn fantastic. Also The Salvagers trilogy by Alex White. Both series are extraordinary and feature diverse characters.
