Genre wise - Horror comes first! lol

I have been reading horror since my teenage years and watching horror since I was five. My dad and I use to watch Shock Theatre back in the late 60's so I started out young watching horror stuff. :)

Some of those I read were not too much in the bloody zone except for the book Red as that one is an extreme horror but if you like mystery/haunting stuff then Darcy Coates is great and that series I started by David Clark you might like. :)

As always, it’s a pleasure reading about the books you’ve been reading. The “Slow Burn” series is tempting, as i like reading about how folks cope with such circumstances.

The Becker book and its Canadian Dexter sounds absorbing. I cannot imagine a killer using a tv show in that way!

The story behind “The Entity” is all the more frightening for being about a real woman and her horror. As you noted, back then (1970s) there weren’t many scientifically research such phenomena.

It’s wonderful that you’ve uncovered more series to explore. One just leads to another, sometimes.

Question: how often do you have to clean that “gore suit”? Or are they disposable? I just love when you already have it on!"

It was an interesting month! The Slow Burn series I need to get back to as I have another 8 books to go in that series so I am not quite sure where the characters in that series will end up. :)

As far as the true crime book - I had vaguely remembered something about that someone using the Dexter show as a go by for murdering - I also think I have heard something in the past about people using crime shows or even reading crime books and getting ideas with murders or whatever. But I think it is rare - I hope. :)

The book The Entity - yeah that was really a rough read and I kind of read it slow. I had to read it in small doses because of the graphic content of the story - thankfully I was reading some other books at the same time to give me a breather away from that storyline as there was quite a bit of abuse within the storyline even with it being a spectral entity.

As far as the gore suit - I have quite a few of them hanging in the closet and then if I need to clean them I just hose them down!!! 😂 🤣
