Real Life by A. Dieudonné--general discussion/no spoilers

Real Life by Belgian author Adeline Dieudonné was published in French in 2018 as La Vraie Vie and first appeared in English in 2020, published by World Books.

In France it won a lot of awards: Prix du Roman FNAC, the Prix Rossel, the Prix Goncourt, etc etc etc and yet in English it appears to have been softly forgotten, not widely reviewed.
