When ex-FBI Fox Mulder's and Dana Scully's aliases are exposed and become targets of hooded-robed, mind control exterrestrials, the two decide that they would be safer in returning to FBI agent status. Audible continues the X File mythology with this audiobook production reminiscent of early radio dramas with familiar voices and sound effects. A number of characeters killed off on the series are resurrected for one last appearance including Cigarette Smoking Man and Alex Krycek. Mulder and Sculley are assisted in revealing "the truth out there" are Walter Skinner and the conspiracy-loving Lone Gunmen. The dialogue is occasionally sappy; however, a worthy contribution to the X Files pop culture.
