Abby is haunted by her mother’s death and believes she’ll find answers in the abandoned Our Lady of Virtues sanitarium. Did you think it foolhardy for her to go there alone given there’s a serial killer at large or was there not enough of a linkage yet to that site?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Absolutely TSTL moment. Abandoned and lonely building probably condemned and dangerous was enough reason to give it a wide berth. Going alone... another dumb move. And the fact that a serial killer was on the loose, beggars belief. I really don't know why authors keep writing these scenes. This book was written a while ago and that was a common way of building tension I guess. Hopefully writers are moving away from this technique because its totally unbelievable and reduces the reader's enjoyment.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I agree completely a major TSTL moment. I didn't buy into her logic either.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments She was crazy stupid to go there alone, especially with a murderer on the loose and with her loose ties to the first victims. I got that she wanted to visit the hospital, but doing it was just plain stupid.

The author was untrue to her character. Abby would have never gone there alone. She was unnerved in her own house and back yard!

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1811 comments OMG! Abby's TSTL was so over the top. She irritated me no end with her actions.
