I can't recall any obvious evidence towards Abby. The reason she was a potential suspect seemed to be more linked to being the ex wife and the fact that she had heard Luke's show and had attempted to ring in before she thought better of it. Fairly flimsy really. Nothing at the scene as I recall.
I didn't see any real evidence either. I considered that it was standard operating procedure to look at spouses and exes. He did push some buttons but not enough to murder him. I would have done that when he cheated.
I didn't see how Abby could have been considered a real suspect. There was no way she could have moved and posed the bodies. The only thing they had was her call to the station and Luke's awful show, which would have made anyone mad.
I thought Brinkman was ridiculous. How could petite Abby manage her husband and a completely random woman? The scene was obviously staged and there was evidence that a man with a size 12 foot pulled it off? Five minutes at that crime scene and it should have been obvious there was something more going on here.
This was flimsy and stupid.
This was flimsy and stupid.
Yeah, there wasn't much evidence against her. Brinkman's suspicion stemmed solely from their acrimonious divorce. @Jonetta - IIRC, Brinkman never thought she did it herself. He suspected that she hired someone, but there was no evidence for this either.
Lauren, even more stupid. She’s able to hire someone in one day to kill him and a woman completely unconnected to both of them? This guy needs to be bumped back down to beat cop.
Do we think that Brinkman will return as a major character to be redeemed? Bentz and Montoya weren't described very favourably in the first book. Or is Brinkman destined to be the secondary unlikeable character forever?
I'm sure he will be back as a secondary character but I don't think he will change or be redeemed. More likely he could turn out to be a victim of some kind.
