Cat T. Hey hey!
I'm Cat, an avid reader and lover of deep books. I am a writer but not published yet. ;) But I'm looking forward to getting to read good books here and getting to know you authors! I'm available to review read, ARC, or for beta reads with feedback. I also have experience on street teams so if you have one that you think would be a good fit for me, reach out and I will consider it. I love most kinds of Christian fiction and nonfiction, I'm not too picky except with theology. :)
Blessings,
Cat T,

Hi Cat, my pen name is Patina Malinalli. I just published a PDF online titled, "What Can I Do Now That I Have a Traumatic Brain Injury?" If you are willing, I would appreciate a review. It includes scripture, but is meant to be more inspirational than theology. My next release, "Learning the Beauty of Humility With Horses" will be available September 1. It doesn't have a page on Goodreads yet. Neither does "Peacefulness in Christ's Perfection," which I will release December 1, but I would also appreciate pre-release reviews for both of these if you are willing.

Both are quick reads. I would greatly appreciate it if you would be willing to help my out by giving me some reviews, please. Thank you! Please reply/comment with your email, and I will send you a PDF.

Hi Cat,

Thanks for expressing your willingness to read and review books. I have a Christian non-fiction book releasing August 31, and I could use more reviews. Please message me if you would be interested in reading a short book on Christian worldviews. You can learn more about it at https://www.godsmasterstory.com/.

Scott Kalas (prisonchaplain) | 6 comments Thanks for the invite, James. To the community, A tad about me. I'll soon be married to Michelle for 13 years (09/13/208). I still call her bride at home and in social circles.

I'm the Founder and Steward of Soldiers of Christ Prison Ministries and have the joy of serving the Kingdom as a volunteer prison chaplain. I teach classes on fatherhood but, most importantly, the Gospel.

I love Thai and Indian cuisine; the spicier, the better, but always without vegetables 😝. I can never have never enough ice cream 😋.

I use to enjoy a good cigar until Medicate kicked in. I still enjoy a glass of red wine and having fellowship with friends. Last but not least, one of my greatest joys is making my bride, Michelle, laugh 🤡.

A Christian song that bests describes me is All I have is Christ by Jordan Kauflin.

As for me on Goodreads, I use to go by Prison Preacher but recently, being a hard-to-please reader 🥺, I go by Curmudgeon 🤨. Michelle says I'm a tough customer. Nonetheless, I respect those of you who are writers. What a great gift 😃!

I'm a writer wanna-be, but God has not gifted me in writing. So a wishful desire is to write a mystery and suspense someday. I have a vague idea of a character and storyline, but that's about it 🤷🏻‍♂️.

When it comes to personal reading, I enjoy mystery and suspense thrillers. Some of my current favorite Christian authors are; John C. Dalglish, Susan Page Davis, Creston Mapes, James Bell Scott, Dan Walsh, and D. L. Wood. The less romance, the better. So much of the romance is too cheesy for my taste 😝.

There are non-Christian authors I enjoy. However, I find less and less good series without sex or dumb innuendos to sex 😩. Vulgarity is another big turn-off 🤯. I started one book, and it had the f-word 13 times in the first five pages. Another book's first three scenes were sex scenes 🤯. Thankfully those are exceptions, but most books aren't too far from it. Is the Curmudgeon in me starting to show?

Believe it or not, I'm can be funny and witty or at least try to be. My bride calls me her Silly Bear 🐻. I'd love to meet others who love Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and hope to get some great recommendations on clean, suspenseful mystery or crime fiction. So perhaps I can change my alias/nickname back to Prison Preacher or Silly Bear.

To Him be the glory

Scott K. Aka Curmudgeon, aka Prison Preacher, and possibly a future aka Silly Bear.
