Are there any guidelines to combine series?

Hi! I have found few series that are actually the same, but in different translations. Like one is named in Russian, another is in English. They include the same books, while the English one has just 3 books, and Russian includes 6. Are there any way to combine such series into one, but keep different titles? Because the book first has been published in Russian, then translated into English where it has another title and the series title.

If the books are numbered differently, as well as being in different languages, then having two separate series is correct.

Thank you, it makes sense. But if two series have the same numbering, is there any way to combine them?

There is no way to combine series. But if they are truly duplicates, one can be deleted.
