Sorry, just to clarify what a fill-in book would be. Would #1.5 work since it has a decimal, or would it have to be 0.something?

a decimal, like the example 23.6

Dark Places (Singer family #prequel)I think it's been done like this, #prequel, because it's actually the second book published in this 'series' even if the chronology of the story is before book 1.
I am hesitant to change it to "#0" -just checking if it's ok to use this book for this task?

Sorry, no. The task requires that the book be numbered in the GR data with a 0 or a decimal point. I was not able to find anything that substantiates that this book was intended to be numbered this way. It would not be allowable for you to change the GR data so that you can use it for this task.

The Phantom Menace was released in 1999. It began the prequel trilogy to the Star Wars franchise. Read a book that is a prequel or fill-in in a series that is numbered with a #0 or a decimal. The series name and number must be indicated in the GR series metadata listing. Anthologies that contain only #0 and/or decimal-numbered series entries may be used.
ex. Cleaning the Gold, The Assassin's Blade, The Rules of Magic
