It was posted today. She was away.

I wasn't very uncomfortable but called the after-hours line the next morning, Sunday, to see if they wanted to prescribe something (trying to figure out if I should take a picture on my phone and send it). Didn't connect with a nurse till afternoon and she said it would be fine to come in to Urgent Care Monday morning. (We were already planning to drive home right after the day game.)
Urgent Care is a terrific invention. In some areas, people don't seem to have a choice beyond waiting for a doctor appointment and going to an Emergency Room. But this has been great, especially for things that crop up on weekends. I got there when they opened today and confirmed my diagnosis, now taking an antiviral and something for the nerve pain. It seems to be helping already, I was able to get some sleep, which was very difficult last night. I have known people who had a very bad time with this, hoping mine goes away quickly. Gives me an excuse to stay home, watch TV, and read.
At least the weather at the baseball game was great, and our team won in a dramatic 9th inning! (not their usual style this year)

@Robin - sorry you have them but so glad you got an early diagnosis and treatment plan. It is even possible that one of the drugs you are taking was one a client of mine brought to market a few years ago. His company had rights to a privately developed drug FDA approved that was guaranteed to bring relief to shingles sufferers yet they could not find any venture capital to produce it and get it to market. It just was not 'sexy' enough. Took them years but they finally got it out and it has been a huge success. Of course, I can't remember the drug....

Oh, Robin ... my mom had a terrible case of shingles (years ago). Hoping your case is successfully treated with the antiviral. Agree that Urgent Care is the best invention! The fact that you had that earlier vaccine should help keep your case on the milder side.
I put off getting the more advanced Shingrex vaccine, too, because the co-pay was so high, but I finally gave in last year. So glad I did. It's a two-dose regimen and be prepared for a very sore arm!

If you look at how these women are treated when they speak up it's not wonder we don't. They get shamed, accused of lying, ostracized ... why..."
Well, those of us who are or have raised our boys to be good men also have concerns. While I have had many "me too" moments, etc (when I was younger) and I know that it is the minority of times when the next thing I am going to write happens, there are girls and women who do make false allegations. Anyone who knows human nature knows that this sort of thing can happen, and is more likely to once women's voices are listened to.

My thoughts are with all our East Coast friends-stay safe!

So far, other than causing the Celebrate NYC Returns concert in Central Parj to be cut short, NYC is just wet from Henri. More rain due. Storm landfall is to be Rhode Island as a tropical storm not a Hurricane.
Although tropical storms are just as dangerous as hurricanes, just without wind.
