Hi, after over thirty years of policing the Northern Ireland Troubles I've self-published my first novel 'The Bitter End of Dreams' which is a character driven thriller into which I've poured aspects of my experience and knowledge. I've slightly tinkered with historical fact in a way that allows me to explore how toxic ideologies and sectarian hatred can destroy lives, while keeping the narrative logical and grounded. The novel is set in Belfast 1977. Currently writing book two which is set in 1983.
