Question on Order

I am confused it appears that Francesca's husband John dies in 1820 his cousin Michael leaves and is gone four years when he returns it is 1824. Michael and Francesca are discussing a possible wives and she mentions Penelope and Eloise which are both married?? What am I missing, according to authors website I am reading in order. It shows that Amanda and Oliver Phillips children are born in 1816 which means that Eloise married in 1820 are very close to it and Penelope married before her.

Yeah, I was a little thrown by the fact that she jumps around in time as well. Gets a bit confusing.

I agree with the previos messages. I felt a little confused but then decided to quit trying to make sense of the sequense and read it as a stand alone.

I think it will make a little more sense when the second epilogues are re-released later this year. I, for one, haven't read them yet.

If I understand it correctly, she overlapped Eloise, Colin and Francesca's stories
