In Opposite of Always, the protagonist, Jack King is constantly trying to juggle time between his family, friends, and Kate the girl he falls in love with but dies. When Kate dies Jack is sent back in time to the moment he and Kate first met. It’s race against the clock to save Kate and save his friendship with his best friends Franny and Jillian. Throughout Opposite of Always these four important characters Jack, Kate, Franny, and Jillian will be faced with difficult moments of finding the right time or not having enough time as well as forgiveness. If you can find your way through the excessive pointless details of the interactions between characters you will find that Opposite of Always is a really good book with a powerful theme of timing and forgiveness.
