Max always believed that Scott was dead and that was confirmed by the discovery of his body. Did you have any hope he could still be alive?

After six weeks, below freezing temps, no experience or supplies, I knew he was dead too.

I agree. The only way he could be alive is if he found a cabin or some place to stay warm.

No one is going to survive that long on their own when they have no survival skills. The only way he would be alive is if he was in hiding (somewhere warm) or if he had been kidnapped. I didn't think either of those situations were true.

I believed he was dead. The only way he could be alive was if he’d made it off that mountain and was deliberately hiding. There was no reason to believe he’d do that to his family.

No. With the area he was in and the time of year, there was really no way he could have still been alive.
