This was a fun one! It’s a retelling of sleeping beauty and I adored the perspective! Anyone else already read it or looking forward to reading it?

I'm looking forward to reading it! It's on my TBR and I will start reading it sometime this week. Based on the summary, I think I will really enjoy this book.

Finished! A pretty quick read and engaging through the end.

@Claren, I think you might actually be referring to a different book? This one isn't fairytale based :)

(view spoiler)[The communication between the older Alice and the younger was an interesting take. I wasn't entirely sure if I fully understood the rules of time travel in this book but when I read books with a time travel component I try not to think too hard about the mechanics of it because it distracts from the plot. It was a cool twist that the interactions that happen in the beginning of the book were actually later in the future timeline, but wouldn't the present timeline change? It seemed odd that you wouldn't have obvious ripple effects that would change the interactions towards the end of the book.

I didn't love that the Alice/Bandit connection caused the end of the world in the future. I think the "soulmates in every timeline" trope is a bit overdone. I would have found it more interesting if there were different futures based on the nudges in the present, but I guess that would make it harder to follow the future plot.

I wanted to read more about the future underground world! I thought the idea of humankind living entirely underground could be a cool setting for a dystopian story (hide spoiler)]
