Finishing off the week with
Murder on Wall Street by Victoria Thompson https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here is my 4.37 rounded to 4 stars review of Desperate Acts
by Alexandra Ivy: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Alexandra Ivy deftly weaves mystery, suspense, action, and romance in the fourth book in the Pike, Wisconsin romantic suspense series. Overall, this was an intense story with likeable characters that kept me turning the pages.
Reading Game On: Tempting Twenty-Eight by Janet Evanovich and a little scifi book of short stories Robots Have No Tails by Henry Kuttner.
Here is my 3.95 rounded to 4 stars review of Getting Even
by Lisa Jackson:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
It combines two of her earlier romantic suspense novels into this newly released book. The novels have common themes of revenge, suspense, romance, and some action as well.
Finished A Bridge to the Stars by Henning Mankell this morning. Now reading The Red Pony by John Steinbeck.
Reading All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers right now - having a hard time getting into it. She's a podcast host & wrote it with some help but it feels very much like a first novel...not in a good way
My review for
The Bootmaker of Berlin by AA Debbie Terranovahttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here is my 4.09 rounded to 4 stars review of Sea Castle
by Andrew Mayne:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The author brings action, suspense, and mystery to an intense story with complex characters.
Here is my 4.5 rounded to 5 stars review of Storm Watch
by C.J. Box:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The writing is fluid and descriptive which helped me envision the scenes without disrupting or slowing the flow. Overall, this was intriguing, entertaining, suspenseful, and had an action packed ending with compelling characters that kept me turning the pages.
A fun middle grade spy adventure for your kids and you.
City of the Dead by James Ponti https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here is my 4.61 rounded to 5 stars review of Cold-Blooded Liar
by Karen Rose:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Karen Rose knows how to hook readers with a prologue and keep them engaged throughout a novel. Cold-Blooded Liar , the first book in her San Diego Case Files series, is no different. It combines a police procedural with some amateur sleuthing and a hint of romantic suspense.
I finished The Inheritance Games
by Jennifer Lynn Barnes over the weekend. I really enjoyed it and have put a hold on the next book in the series at the library.
With my FTF BC I am reading The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and on my own The Minuscule Mansion of Myra Malone by Audrey Burges.
Ended February with:
* The Red Pony by John Steinbeck — American classic novella, but these days I would recommend it with trigger warnings for violence.
* Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson — Friends and I were discussing the recent announcement of a book for adults coming out in October by the creator of the 1980s/90s comic strip . . . which had me pulling out the Calvin and Hobbes books I own and rereading the first one (so far).
* Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo — Excellent middle grade book!
* Envy by Debra Webb — A short thriller from her Faced of Evil series.

Here is my 4.02 rounded to 4 stars review of A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating a Demon
by Sarah Hawley:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This is a delightful, charming, and fun paranormal romance with great characterization and some deeper themes woven into the novel.
I finished Georgie, All Along
by Kate Clayborn.My 4 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Entertaining contemporary romance....pacing was slower than I expected.
Here is my 4 star review of Good Dog, Bad Cop
by David Rosenfelt: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The story captivated me with the terrifying realism of the prologue. A twisty, deeply involved, and absorbing plot kept me engaged throughout this riveting mystery. With twists and turns, the investigation builds momentum until it peaks with an edge-of-your-seat finish.
Here's my 3.3 rounded to 3 stars review of Missing Clarissa
by Ripley Jones:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Young adult mystery
Overall, this was intriguing, entertaining, and had an action packed ending with diverse characters. However, some of the items revealed in the interviews seemed unrealistic for adults to divulge to teenagers.
My review for All Good People Here
Never quite got into it - really seemed like a JonBenet Ramsey retelling - 2.5 rounded to 3
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I listened to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It was an engaging book and I'm looking forward to the next one.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished The Rebels of Ireland
by Edward Rutherfurd last night. I love his sweeping historical novels.

Here's my 4.12 rounded to 4 stars review of Dark Angel
by John Sandford:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
John Sanford brings investigation, suspense, and plenty of action to the second book in the Letty Davenport series. The story is part undercover investigation and part action thriller. Sandford’s a superb storyteller who kept me on the edge of my seat as the undercover operation and action unfolded. The final action scenes are riveting and hauntingly memorable.
