I remember that in the starting of the book was in a female characters perspective ( not from main character) and that she had a lover. her lover dies and she makes a deal with this god thing to bring him back to life somehow? The main character is a girl and she thinks her father is crazy because he thinks magic is real. something happens and the girl end up at the home of the female character whose perspective the book started in. I think she asks the girl to find something for her. and transports the girl to the other world. now the girl takes the role of a princess from a rival kingdom who came to the other kingdom to get married to the prince for peace. the princess had just killed the parents of the prince she was supposed to marry by poison. i think she tried to kill him too but im not sure. the girl saves the princes sister from this plant? and they capture her. she meets the prince in prison and hes now the king he tells her part of the story and how she fooled them to believing she had actually wanted peace and fallen in love with him. the girl has his engagement ring but wont let him take it off. the prince whos now the king has a priestess lock her in a room. The girl knows little about who she is now so she asks the priestess for more details. The sister of the prince now king frees her and tries to help her escape. They come across this beast that should be hard to kill but the girl does something and kills it? the last few parts i remember are that she has powers relating to water and that in the kingdom the prince now king rules, people in society are divided in two groups humans and people like him who are like vampires. i think i remember the girl saving a family who used to sell things on the street. i read this book this year a few months ago.
