Harshada Jaiganesh | 7 comments Hi! I am looking for ANY novels with...
*main or side characters that are Indian or Indian American
*Indian mythology
*setting based in India
*anything to do with India because I need to read more of this!

I have read most of Roshani Chokshi and Sandhya Menon
I also have read middle-grade books ( ages 8-12 ) by Sayantani DasGupta, Gita Varadarajan and Sarah Weeks

Please comment on this post if you have any recommendations. Thank you.

sephora ౨ৎ⸆⸉ (godblessthishotmess) | 48 comments not a recommendation but reading this made me realize something; i’ve read hundreds of YA and middle grades but i’ve encountered less than 20 indian characters. we need more desi rep, lol

Tejas (baiju) | 41 comments lol plus for some of the stories that are set in the 21st century, some of the indian characters have such old school names like Ravi and Parvati imao....smh....
these are the names that our grandparents or parents would have

sephora ౨ৎ⸆⸉ (godblessthishotmess) | 48 comments ooh i would recommend hani and ishu's guide to fake-dating; i havent read but it sounds pretty good. (roshani and sandhya are amazing btw; roshani writes abt indian mythology and sandhya writes indian-american modern characters).
