Another infection and so I didn’t read much in July. Should I just start with books to be published next week and get back to the others when I can?

Yes, I have a couple of bad months myself...a couple of book funks, where I couldn't get in to anything, and then, a stressful couple of months at work. I assumed a few books I wouldn't get approved and then they did with only a week to spare. So I now try to read something coming up and one that has passed. I have started to make a dent only because a bunch of them were already partially read.
Another thing you can try when you’re over extended and trying to make up ground is request the audiobook from the library once it’s published. You can adjust your listening speed and work through the book faster. I know people who can do 2x, my maximum depending on the narrator is about 1.25-1.5x. I need to be able to understand to give a fair review. Incorporating audiobooks helps squeeze in more reading time for me when I’m walking, doing laundry, cleaning, etc. Again, it’s not ideal because normally we want to be ahead of publication, but life happens so this is a tool I’ve found helpful in a pinch. Above all don’t stress, your health is most important.
